RoboSense Reflects on 2023 Year in Review | North America and Europe

Happy New Year! As we head into 2024, RoboSense' s 10th year as a company, we would like to take a moment to revisit some of our highlights from 2023.

RoboSense’s goal is to make the world safer and smarter by providing scalable LiDAR and perception solutions to improve intelligent automotive and robotics systems.

How did we work towards this goal in 2023? Let’s take a walk down memory lane.

Partnerships and Customer Announcements

RoboSense announced a partnership with Toyota

We are officially integrated into Toyota's supply chain, and we will collaborate in-depth on a number of top selling FAW Toyota models. By equipping Toyota models with our M Platform LiDAR sensors, RoboSense will improve perception capabilities, advance safety, and support the continued development of Toyota’s intelligent vehicles. RoboSense joined the NVIDIA Omniverse ecosystem!

Our LiDAR sensors are now integrated into NVIDIA DRIVE Sim, built on Omniverse, enabling physically based, high-fidelity sensor simulation. With this integration, autonomous vehicle developers can directly access our state-of-the-art LiDAR sensors for development and testing. Zvi Greenstein, NVIDIA’s General Manager, stated that “RoboSense’s outstanding technical strength and customer base help strengthen our ecosystem and will accelerate the development and validation of autonomous vehicles while bringing more flexibility to developers.” To learn more, watch the following video and read our full announcement.

We entered a technology partnership with dSPACE

dSPACE has integrated RoboSense’s LiDAR sensors into AURELION, the dSPACE sensor simulation solution. The objective of this partnership is to accelerate the development, testing, and validation of LiDAR functions in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AV) applications. Caius Seiger, dSPACE’s Product Manager, Sensor Simulation, stated that “the scenarios that can be simulated using this combination extend the testing options and reduce costs from the development phase to validation.” To learn more, read our full announcement.

We announced a new partnership with Rising Auto, a brand under SAIC Motor Corp

The Rising Auto F7 electric sedan, our first collaborative model, has been officially launched and delivered, marking a new stage of mass production between the RoboSense and SAIC. The Rising Auto F7 is equipped with our M Platform LiDAR sensor, the NVIDIA Orin Chip and the RISING PILOT driving system. These features enable stable, reliable, and highly intelligent perception capabilities, delivering a smart, safe, and complete intelligent driving experience. Product Release

RoboSense launched the P6, a new perception fusion solution for large-scale commercial unmanned mobility services. The P6 is a full-stack solution that incorporates MEMS-based LiDAR sensors from our automotive-grade M Platform, our independently developed perception software, and other sensors, computing units and hardware. It is the fifth product of RoboSense’s hardware+software “P” series, iterating on mature, mass-produced technology for a reliable, cost-effective solution.

The P6 delivers a complete set of perception capabilities, including road sign detection, dynamic and static obstacle detection, free space detection, and multi-LiDAR sensor fusion. P6 provides flexible installation, deployment, calibration, and debugging support for autonomous driving projects from start to finish, helping customers to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enable large-scale, rapid deployment. Manufacturing, Verification and Validation Achievements

As a part of our robust manufacturing capabilities, RoboSense received the AEC-Q100 certification and reliability test report issued by SGS (SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Service Co., Ltd.). SGS is the world's leading testing, inspection, and certification company. This certification means that the RoboSense LiDAR MEMS mirror module meets automotive-grade requirements and provides practical safety guarantees for M Platform LiDAR sensors. RoboSense’s M Series LiDAR sensors have become the only AEC-Q100 qualified LiDAR scanner products worldwide, setting a new benchmark for LiDAR applications in the automotive industry and facilitating LiDAR advancement worldwide.

Check out how our exceptional manufacturing capabilities helped us to manufacture the M1 and become the world’s first company to mass produce automotive-grade, solid state LiDAR, which led to RoboSense achieving cumulative sales of 200,000+ sensors:
