M2 is the third mid-range LiDAR of the M platform.M2 achieves a significant improvement in range and angular resolution. Its maximum range reaches 250 meters and angular resolution in ROI reaches average 0.1° x average 0.1°.

Inheriting RoboSense's innovative and reliable 2D scanning technology, M2 shares the same technology platform and modular design as M1 Plus; leveraging the form factor, testing, verification, and manufacturing process. With the M2, customers can seamlessly upgrade intelligent driving systems without costly vehicle design changes.

M2 delivers a 25% increase in maximum range as compared to M1 Plus. This helps intelligent driving systems improve perception capabilities and perceive the road conditions ahead earlier in order to driving response in advance.

Both M2's horizontal angular resolution and point rate are 100% higher than M1 Plus. Combined with the longer range, M2 can accurately detect obstacles such as black vehicles and cones at a longer distance, improving the safety of advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous vehicles.
Design consistency for seamless upgrades
M2 shares the same technology platform and modular design and developes with more than 90% of the same components as the M1 Plus. Pin-to-pin upgrades to the LiDAR are chip-based and maintain the same interface and design as the M1/M1 Plus, driving down costs and improving performance over each iteration. Customers who upgrade predecessors M Platform products to the M2 can do seamlessly and efficiently, with lower costs and project development risks.
